By downloading or using LivingWindow you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. These terms sit alongside Apple’s own terms for the App Store, which also apply to your download and purchase.
LivingWindow displays ambient scenes with synthesized sound, optional clocks and an optional weather display on Apple TV (tvOS 17 or later).
It is a foreground app: it runs while it is open on screen. It does not replace the Apple TV system screensaver, does not run over other apps, and does not continue once you leave it.
The scenes are still artwork with native moving effects, together with procedural environments, preview films and synthesized audio. They are not licensed photorealistic 4K video, HDR or spatial audio. Clocks show the real time and date; the optional weather display shows current third-party service data when available.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app and view its scenes on Apple TV devices associated with your Apple Account, for your own personal, non-commercial enjoyment.
The scenes, artwork, audio and app remain our property or that of our licensors. You may not extract, copy, redistribute, resell, publicly perform for commercial purposes, or create derivative works from the content, except where the law gives you a right that cannot be excluded by agreement.
Tropical Aquarium, Cozy Fireplace, Ocean View and Space Window are free to use with no time limit. Other scenes are available as 30-second previews.

The packs are alternatives to Premium Unlock. Buying a pack does not reduce the price of Premium Unlock, and we do not offer an upgrade credit between them. There is no subscription and no advertising.
What a purchase covers. Premium Unlock covers the 30-scene collection as it exists in the current version. We may add, change or retire scenes in future versions, and we do not promise that any future content will be included free in an existing purchase. We also do not promise Family Sharing.
All purchases are made through the App Store. Apple handles payment, billing and refunds. We do not receive your card details.
The app verifies the signed transaction Apple provides and unlocks content on that basis. Restore purchases re-applies purchases made with the same Apple Account — useful on a new Apple TV or after reinstalling.
Refunds are requested from Apple, not from us, and are subject to Apple’s process. Nothing in these terms removes or limits any consumer right you have that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under the South African Consumer Protection Act or equivalent legislation where you live. We do not operate a “no refunds” policy.
The bundled scenes play offline. Some features depend on third parties and an internet connection:
These services can change, be interrupted or be discontinued by their operators. We do not guarantee that any external service will remain available, and weather data is provided as general information, not as a forecast you should rely on for safety or operational decisions.
Please do not attempt to reverse-engineer, tamper with or circumvent the app’s purchase checks, extract its assets for redistribution, or use the app in a way that breaks the law or infringes someone else’s rights. We may stop providing the app or a feature if it is being misused.
Your favourites, playlists, preferences, selected weather city and last scene are stored on your Apple TV. How information is handled — including the optional weather lookup and support emails — is set out in the LivingWindow privacy policy.
Support is provided by email at info@sweetphoenix.co.za. See the support page for FAQs, restore-purchase help and how to remove the app’s local data. There is no account to close.
We may update the app, change or retire scenes and features, and update these terms. Where a change materially affects you, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, note it in the app’s release notes. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
The app is provided as-is for ambient viewing. To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app, from interruption of a third-party service, or from reliance on weather information.
Again, this does not limit liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any non-waivable consumer guarantee.
Apple is not a party to these terms and does not endorse, sponsor or warrant LivingWindow. Apple’s role is as the distributor of the app and the processor of your purchase, under Apple’s own terms. If there is a conflict between these terms and Apple’s required end-user licence terms for App Store apps, Apple’s required terms prevail for that conflict.
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection in the country where you live.
