LivingWindow for Apple TV

A window to somewhere else. LivingWindow turns your Apple TV into a quiet escape — 30 ambient scenes with soft synthesized sound, native animated effects and customisable live clocks.

Apple TV (tvOS 17 or later). Free to download, with optional one-time unlocks. No subscription, no advertising and no account signup.

LivingWindow has been submitted to the App Store. A public release date has not been confirmed yet. This page will link to the App Store listing once the app is released.

Start with four free windows

Four scenes are free to enjoy with no time limit and no unlock required:

• Tropical Aquarium
• Cozy Fireplace
• Ocean View
• Space Window

Every other scene in the collection can be viewed as a 30-second preview before you decide whether to unlock anything.

Make it your moment

• Save favourite scenes for a quick return.
• Create and reorder your own playlists.
• Rotate scenes automatically at an interval you choose.
• Pause, mute or adjust the sound with your remote.
• Set a sleep timer for the end of a session.
• Add a digital or analogue clock showing the real time and date.
• Customise clock style, size, brightness, position, seconds and time zone.
• Choose an optional weather city and show current conditions when available.
• Hide controls and overlays for an uninterrupted view.

One-time unlocks

LivingWindow uses one-time purchases only. There is no subscription and no recurring charge.

• Premium Unlock — opens the complete current 30-scene collection, including both smaller packs below.
• Water Collection — adds Coral Paradise, Deep Ocean, Island Paradise and Waterfall.
• Warmth Collection — adds Luxury Mansion Fireplace and Mountain Cabin Fireplace.

The smaller packs are alternatives to Premium Unlock, not steps towards it: buying a pack does not discount Premium. Current prices are shown in the App Store on your Apple TV, which is also where billing and refunds are handled. Purchases can be restored using the Apple Account that bought them.

What the scenes actually are

We would rather be straight with you about this than oversell it. The collection uses still artwork with native moving effects, together with alternate procedural environments, preview films and synthesized ambient sound. These are not licensed photorealistic 4K video, HDR or spatial audio recordings.

Clocks show the actual time and date. The optional weather display shows current service data when it is available.

Made for your Apple TV

• Browse with the Siri Remote.
• The scenes included with the app play offline.
• Weather and App Store access need an internet connection.
• LivingWindow runs while the app is open. It does not replace the Apple TV system screensaver and does not appear over other apps.

Your information

Favourites, playlist names and order, preferences, your selected weather city and the last scene you viewed are stored locally on your Apple TV. There is no LivingWindow account to create and no app-operated analytics or advertising SDK in the app.

If you turn the optional weather feature on or search for a city, the app sends that search text and the selected city’s coordinates to the weather and geocoding provider so it can return a forecast. The app does not ask for GPS permission. The full detail is in the LivingWindow privacy policy.

Help and legal

• Support and FAQs — requirements, remote controls, restoring a purchase, clock and weather help, removing local data.
